Ben Griffin delivered a heartfelt message to his fans in Spanish after winning 2025 World Technology Championship. The American golfer competed in the four-day event held in Los Cabos.
He recorded a two-stroke victory in the tournament over Chad Ramey and Sami Välimäki. The PGA Tour shared a heartfelt video of Griffin on his X account (formerly Twitter) in which he delivered a sweet message in Spanish. He said:
“Hello, I'm Benjamin. I'm the champion of the World Wide Technology Championship. Thank you all very much. Let's go!” (Hi, I'm Benjamin. I'm the champion of the World Tech Championship. Thank you very much everyone. Let's go.)
Ben Griffin was in third place after playing the first three rounds. He was impressive in Sunday's final round, shooting a 63 to jump two spots in the leaderboard and win his third PGA Tour event.
Garrick Higgo was in the lead after the third round but struggled on Sunday when he carded a 68 and dropped to fourth.
Ben Griffin has won three PGA Tour events, all in 2025. He recorded a one-stroke victory at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans in April while teaming with Andrew Novak, then in May won the Charles Schwab Challenge.
In the post-round press conference after winning the World Tech Championship on Sunday, he reflected on his victories this season. He said (via Tee Scripts):
“I feel like I'm getting more and more comfortable down the stretch. I had been in the mix a couple of times since my last win and so, yeah, going into the round I felt really good about my game, I felt confident at the start of the day. It's a new situation for me to be in the penultimate group. I feel like I've been in a lot of final groups all season.
“Pretty much when I had a chance to win I felt like I was in the final group. Charles Schwab, final group. Zurich, final group. Memorial, final group. Napa, final group. This was kind of the first time I wasn't in the final group and had a really good chance to win. So I knew I could go out and post a number and maybe apply some pressure.”
In addition to his three wins this season on the PGA Tour, Ben Griffin has recorded two runner-up finishes. After winning the Charles Schwab Challenge, he settled for second place in his next outing at the Memorial Tournament. He carded four rounds of 65, 72, 72 and 73. He then finished runner-up at the Procore Championship.
With the victory in the World Championship of Technology, he has won about $1.08 million in prize money.
