Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys send their love to fellow American pro as they open up about 'terrifying' egg freezing process with help from WTA fund program

During a recent episode of “The Players Box” podcast, Desirae Krawczyk opened up about her decision to keep her eggs. talking with Jessica Pegula and the rest of the panel, Krawczyk shared what the process has been like and expressed gratitude to the WTA for supporting her.

“I'm freezing my eggs for the next two weeks and I'm a little nervous,” Krawczyk said. “They are worth 10 days of shots. I had the trigger yesterday so I'll have to wait a week to see how my body reacts to it and then I'll start a 10 day series of shots and do the egg retrieval which I think is about a 15 minute procedure so it won't be long.'

He went on to praise the WTA for introducing the funding program, explaining how it has been helpful for players who need to rest during the off-season.

“The WTA, they came up with the funding which is great because obviously with the game you have to take time out and the off season isn't that long so a lot of players are doing egg freezing and it's amazing that the WTA has that funding.”

After the episode aired, Krawczyk's co-hosts congratulated her both during the taping and later in the comments section of the podcast's Instagram feed. Fans also joined Jessica Pegula and company, flooding the post with messages of encouragement and love.

Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys express jealousy of their WTA Finals teammate

Elena Rybakina made history with an undefeated run at the 2025 WTA Finals in Riyadh, taking home an incredible $5.2 million payday.

During an episode of “The Players Box,” fellow contestants Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys admitted they were jealous of Rybakina's huge earnings.

“She went undefeated. She won undefeated and makes $5.2 million,” Pegula said.

“We're jealous,” Keys said.

Rybakina had already taken down Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek earlier in the tournament. She was scheduled to play Madison Keys in her final group match. But after Keys was injured, Ekaterina Alexandrova stepped in as a substitute.

Topping the Serena Williams group, Rybakina advanced to the semifinals to face Pegula, who had finished second in the Stefanie Graf group. After losing the first set, Rybakina came back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.

In the final, she defeated No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 7-6 (0) to cap her perfect run, lifting the year-end trophy and securing the biggest payouts in WTA history.
