Skips Bayless spells for Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs after shock loss to Broncos


Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a 22-19 loss on the road at the hands of their division rivals, the Denver Broncos. This result comes after their disappointing 28-21 loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.

Riding a two-game losing streak, there is an air of uncertainty surrounding the Chiefs' emergence as AFC champions this season. Following Sunday's result, Skip Bayless took to social media to share his honest thoughts on Andy Reid's team. In a tweet, he highlighted how the Chiefs' dominance in the AFC is slowly coming to an end.

In another tweet, Bayless lashed out Performance by Patrick Mahomes. He said the three-time Super Bowl champion is slowly deteriorating in terms of the quality of the offensive plays on the field.

“Mahomes isn't what it used to be. KC 0-5 in one goal games???”

Against the Broncos, Patrick Mahomes completed 29 of 45 passes for 276 yards and just one touchdown. He had found TE Travis Kelce with a 21-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. Mahomes also threw an interception in the game.

During their Week 9 loss against the Bills, the Heads The quarterback had completed 15 of 34 passes for 250 yards and no touchdowns and one interception.

This season, Mahomes has totaled 2,625 yards and 18 touchdowns passing while rushing for four touchdowns. They are currently the third best team in the AFC West with a 5-5 record behind the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos.
