The Kansas City Chiefs' season took another terrible turn on Sunday as they lost 22-19 to the Broncos in Denver. Andy Reid's Chiefs are now 5-5 on the season after the loss, and their long AFC West title streak now appears to be in jeopardy.
With a 5-5 record, there is clear concern in Kansas City, a view echoed by former Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris on CBS Sunday evening.
According to Harris, one of the reasons the Chiefs have struggled this season is that their offense, especially the running offense, hasn't consistently produced.

“I want to bring attention to the bosses because we all know the bosses are in panic mode right now,” Harris said. “When I watch this game, I notice a trend and I'm not going to make excuses for Patrick Mahomes because he doesn't play particularly well himself. But when I look at the stats week after week, it's 40 rushing yards, 50 rushing yards, 45 rushing yards.”

“The Chiefs haven't gotten anything out of their running game since Isaiah Pacheco broke his leg and he hasn't been the same player since,” Harris said. “They've tried to lean on Kareem Hunt, who's at the end of his career.”
Harris questioned Reid and the team's poor game plans, given that the Chiefs offense was all balanced against Denver.
The Chiefs really need big plays from the running game to match their offense this season, but this unit hasn't produced at a good level. Coach Reid and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will undoubtedly be under tremendous pressure to improve in that area as soon as possible, especially after the team managed just 62 rushing yards against Denver.
The Denver Broncos they are now 9-2 in their Week 12 bye after the win at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday. In the AFC West standings, the team now has a two-game lead over the Los Angeles Chargers, who were defeated by the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12.
The Broncos have also weakened further Kansas City Chiefs' playoff prospects. After back-to-back crushing losses against the Broncos and Bills, Kansas City will now have a huge uphill climb to secure a postseason berth.
The Chiefs still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs, but in order to do so, they will need to get a lot of things right between now and the end of the regular season.
The Chiefs will have a chance to end their mini-losing streak when they take on the Indianapolis Colts at home in Week 12.
