Dolph Ziggler Says WWE's Original Plan for His Return Was a 'Bad Idea'


Dolph Ziggler has said that WWE's original plan for his return was a bad idea. The Showoff was revealed as Solo Sikoa's mystery opponent on RAW in the Last Time is Now tournament.

His return surprised everyone as he competed in a wwe sounds for the first time since 2023. However, this blockbuster return was hardly a surprise.

Talking to Jonathan Coachman Off the ropes, Dolph Ziggler said that when the Stamford-based promotion first approached him, officials informed him that his one-time appearance would be announced in advance. However, the former world heavyweight champion was against it and thought it was a bad idea.

“A few weeks ago, when they told me, it was like, 'Hey, we're going to have you in this thing, and we're going to announce it ahead of time.' They'll show parentheses or something, and I'm like, “Oh my God, that's a bad idea.” I say, 'Is there any way not to do this?' They say, “There might be something they're going to post today.” It will be on social networks. Maybe retweet or something. Although Ziggler lost the contest, his return caused a stir from the fans, proving that keeping his return a secret was the right decision.


Dolph Ziggler ended a 20-year wait by returning to RAW

Dolph Ziggler has had many accolades during his time in WWE. However, there was one thing he wanted to do.

During his appearance at Broken open podcastthe current TNA star revealed that he was in hiding before his return to RAW. He mentioned that for 20 years he had watched others hide in a ring or on a bus before a big comeback, and it was something he never got around to doing.

While Ziggler's return was a one-off for now, it means there's a chance he'll appear in WWE again in the future.
