How to complete the Ever-Normal Granary campaign mission


Ever-Normal Granary in Where Winds Meet is one of the campaign missions you can find in Kaifeng. During the quest, you must investigate the origin of the dispute over the barn and discover some hidden secrets. The story has a rather tragic ending, but completing it will reward you with various in-game items and unlock a new campaign boss.

Granary always normal quest location

Go to the Barn of Abundance, southeast of Kaifeng City, and interact with the NPCs by talking to the guard near the Barn. This will start the Ever-Normal Granary campaign quest in Where the Winds Are.

Visit the Granary Master in Autumn Dusk Dwelling

Go to Autumn Dusk Dwelling and meet the Granary Master. It will give you the Ever-Normal Token and allow you to free up the food for the crisis.

Enter the Ever-Normal Granary and find Li Shoujie

Go back to the Barn and show the token to the guard. Then enter the Ever-Normal Barn to find Li Shoujie.

Inspect the Barn and defeat the guards

Follow the navigation and check the Barn for food, only to find the place empty and face Li Shoujie. Next, you must defeat all the guards.

Go to the marked location and check the watchtower

Follow the quest navigation and climb to the top of the watchtower. Once there, use the elevator to go underground.

Go underground and locate the Underground Barn

Defeat all the enemies and go deeper into the tunnel to find a door. Activate the mechanism to open it and keep moving until you reach a blue area full of fungi. Then hit the gap to get to the other side.

Use the fire arrows to burn all the shoots

Switch to Bow and use fire arrows to destroy the flower buds from dawn to dusk. This will burn the vines and clear the path.

Get into a crouched position and go through the gap. Then defeat the mob before burning the two shoots to lower the bridge. Once that's done, keep moving until you reach the chasm.

Burn the shoots and jump onto the platform

Use the fire arrows to burn the shoots and jump to the platform. Keep doing this until you reach the other side of the chasm. You can also find a bunch of chests on the platforms.

Find the source of the sound and rescue the man

Follow the source of the sound to find a group of guards talking to a man. Then defeat all the guards and interact with the man.

Find Lord Shen and continue investigating

Follow the quest marker until you reach a gate with a few fungus infected mobs. Defeat them and activate the mechanism to open the door. Then get on the elevator to go down.

Climb and clear the vines of the blueberry

Follow the quest marker to find a few enemies on the other side of the watermelon and defeat them. Then go to the watermelon and activate the mechanism before burning the three shoots. Note that the shoots grow very quickly, so you have to burn them all quickly to open the door.

Examine everything for clues

Go through the door and go to the other side to find an NPC hanging from the vines.

Rescue the man and talk to him

To rescue the man, you must burn all seven shoots. Start by burning the two (red circles) closest to the chest before burning the two (purple circles) on the right side. Finally, burn the three remaining buds (yellow circles) attached to the tree. Once the man is free, talk to him for more information.

Follow Shen Yilun to the secret passage and enter

Follow Shen Yilun and enter the squeeze passage. This will take you to another realm and you have to follow the marker to see a scene.

Defeat Zhang E

After the cutscene, you will return to the real world. Following Shen again will trigger another cutscene before starting the final fight of the mission, and you'll need to defeat Zhang E. The boss has two HP bars and has strong projectile attacks, so your dodging and parrying skills should be good.

Witness the conclusion of the story

After the fight, talk to Zhang E. This will teleport you to Autumn Dusk Dwelling and complete the Ever-Normal Granary campaign mission in Where the winds meetand you will get the following rewards:

  • Oscillating Jade x5
  • Echo Jade x55

  • Kaifeng x105 exploration

Also, you'll get some character EXP. After that, you can talk to Zhang E again to start a further quest, but it's not part of the campaign quest.
