Ricochet shares an intimate moment with Samantha Irvin following his win at AEW Full Gear 2025

Ricochet picked up a massive win this weekend at AEW Full Gear 2025, earning his first taste of championship gold in the company. The top flyer has now taken to social media, celebrating his pay-per-view triumph alongside his wife, Samantha Irvin.

Earlier this month, All Elite Wrestling unveiled a new title, the AEW National Championship, and revealed that the inaugural belt holder will be decided by a Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear 2025. The bout featured many of the company's top names and athletes, including Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley, Claudio Castagnoli, Orange Cassidy, Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey and Ricochet, to name just a few of the competitors involved.

Ultimately, it was The Future of Flight who successfully captured victory in the Casino Gauntlet bout, nailing Knight with his Spirit Gun finisher. to get his first singles title in All Elite Wrestling and become the first AEW National Champion. Now, Ricochet has taken to X/Twitter to share a photo of himself with his newly won belt alongside his wife, former WWE announcer Samantha Irvin.

“Feels good to be champion! #Ahaa 👑,” Ricochet wrote in the caption.

AEW's Ricochet attacked a former wrestling booker

Earlier, AEW star Will Ospreay, who is currently on the shelf after surgery, responded to a social media clip of some people wrestling in his backyard. Former wrestling booker Jim Cornette apparently didn't take kindly to The Aerial Assassin's video endorsement, using it as an excuse to point out his neck issues and criticize his in-ring style.

Ricochet, however, defended Ospreay on X/Twitter, attacking Cornette arguing that old-school wrestlers who worked relatively “safe” styles have also suffered various types of injuries, and they also had to undergo surgeries for them.

“A bunch of old school guys didn't have knees, backs, hips, necks and all other types of surgeries/injuries? Aren't they working smart? You sound like a piece of shit.”

Cornette responded on The Human Highlight Reel by stating that there was a distinction between modern highlights and punches from the era, going so far as to claim that Ricochet and his cohorts are “stealing money” from Tony Khan for criticizing his work.
