Kuldeep Yadav's 134-ball stand ends as Marco Jansen completes the fifer in 2nd Test IND vs SA 2025 (Watch)


South Africa off-road Marco Jansen dismissed Kuldeep Yadav to complete his five-wicket haul on Day 3 (Monday, November 24) of the second Test. The match is played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Assam.

The breakthrough came on the fifth ball of 82. Jansen bowled a short length ball outside off, which Kuldeep tried to defend with an open face. The ball took the outside edge and flew to Aiden Markram's left at second slip, where he completed a strong catch, ending Kuldeep's strong resistance.

Kuldeep fell for 19 off 134 balls, a knock that included three boundaries. His dismissal left India reeling at 194/9 after 81.5 overs.


Marco Jansen stars with a six-wicket haul as South Africa secure a 288-run first innings lead

Opting to bat first in the second Test, South Africa posted a commanding 489 in their first innings. Senuran Muthusamy led the way with an excellent 109, while Marco Jansen contributed a valuable 93. For India, Kuldeep Yadav was the outstanding bowler, finishing with figures of 4/115 from 29.1 overs.

In reply, India got off to a good start as openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal put on 65 runs before the former fell for 22. Jaiswal scored 58 but Sai Sudharsan (15) and Dhruv Jurel (0) had disappointing outings.

The middle order also struggled, with Rishabh Pant (7), Ravindra Jadeja (6) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (10) falling cheaply as India slipped to 122/7. Washington Sundar (48) then put together a 72-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Kuldeep Yadav (19), offering some resistance.

However, South Africa continued to strike at regular intervals, eventually bowling India out for 201 in 83.5 overs to take a substantial 288-run first innings lead. Jansen was the pick of the bowlers, taking excellent figures of 6/48 in 19.5 overs.
