Harper Murray, Andi Jackson and more break down in emotional Nebraska volleyball night scenes


Emotions ran high as Nebraska volleyball players Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, Allie Sczech and others bid an emotional farewell to seniors Maisie Boesiger, Taylor Landfair and Rebekah Allick on Senior Night as the Huskers capped the regular season with an undefeated 30-0 record.

They recently played their final regular season game against Ohio State at the Bob Devaney Sports Center, defeating their opponents 25-16, 25-13, 25-20 and also honoring the seniors in their final home game.

After the victory, Nebraska Volleyball gave the old peopleMaisie Boesiger, Taylor Landfair, Rebekah Allick and Allie Sczech a celebratory send-off in the presence of their families. The evening included moving tributes and speeches, recognition of achievements, tours and more. He also witnessed other players like Harper Murray and Andi Jackson break down as they watched their teammates say goodbye.

In a video circulating on the Internet, Boesigerwho received his Liber jersey for the first time in his four-year college career, was seen hugging head coach Dani Busboom Kelly as the announcer called his name during the honoring ceremony.

The video also showed a teary-eyed Allick being escorted into court by her family. The camera then panned to Harper Murray, who couldn't control her emotions. Taylor Landfair followed and immediately hugged her teammates in the stands after entering the court.

In another Instagram video, freshman Virginia Adriano was seen hugging Allick, both crying on the emotional occasion.

Andi Jackson showed her love for the elderly by holding a “Clap if you love the seniors” sign and got support from the crowd.

Nebraska's volleyball players have been a force to be reckoned with this season, leaving no stone unturned to make up for a heartbreaking semifinal loss to Penn State in 2024. The Huskers entered 2025 with a set of dominant performances in the AVCA First Serve, going on to record an undefeated Big Ten, Big Ten winning streak, and ten defending streak. Harper Murray and her teammates failed to score in the NCAA semifinals last year, falling to the eventual champions, the Penn State Nittany Lions. However, this year, they recorded their 29th consecutive win by defeating the defenders of the field, and heaved a sigh of relief to get their 'redemption'.

It feels great. We seem to have regained our redemption from last year and that's something many of us have never forgotten and I'm sure we won't. So it feels great to come out here the last few months and beat them both times, especially in their gym because it's a tough gym to play in, so it's really great for us,” Murray said when asked about the feeling, heading into the 2025 Nationals.

Harper Murray has been a standout player in the Huskers program, contributing greatly to her team's winning streak this season.
