Hunter Woodhall is the paralympic champion of T 62 Men 400 m. The American recently revealed that he underwent emergency surgery for an expanded appendix and shared the story of how a single team could have saved his life.
Woodhall, a five-time Paralympic and twice medalists of world championships, presented himself to fame with his wife, the Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall. The duo shared visits to his daily life with the fans.
The Sprinter recently recalled the story of how his oine ring could have saved his life. Passing on Instagram, Hunter Woodhall Shared a video of himself talking and started by saying:
“This ring (Oura) could have saved my life yesterday.”
He continued to detail the whole story, telling that he was going to Syracuse, Utah, to visit his father who recently underwent open heart surgery, when he began to experience a stomach ache. The Sprinter initially put lactose intolerance due to a blue cheese that ate for lunch, but the pain gradually worsened and continued the next morning.
He explained that his symptoms in the morning included pain in the abdomen, saying:
“When I woke up, I still had a little pain in the lower right abdomen, which arose as a red flag, but I thought I could only resist -what caught me is a radar of symptoms that had important signs that something went wrong in my body and that I have been wearing this (Oura) for four years and never saw it. It increased, the body temperature increased and my HRV increased. “
Woodhall explained that after looking at the symptoms of his ring, he went to the hospital with his mother, where doctors discovered that he had an expanded appendix.
“ I asked my mother if I would take me to the hospital, but they did all the tests. They did my blood test.They did the urine test and everything was returning negative, they were not good.They did not know what was happening, but they knew that it was not good.They then, finally I did a CT scan and looking at the CT exploration, they saw that my appendix was extremely expanded. “.
Hunter Woodhall finished the video reassuring the fans who were going well and would use the next few days to recover -next to his father.
For Hunter Woodhall, in 2024 it was a phenomenal year. Last season, the North -Americans made their third consecutive appearance at Paralympic Games. In Paris, the Sprinter won the gold at the Men's T 62 m, while he won the bronze in mixed 4x100m.
Now, as he is preparing for the 2025 season, Woodhall recently announced his training session. Arriving on Instagram, he shared a video of himself by completing an exhausting training on the court, entitled with three gorilla emojis.
Throughout his career, Hunter Woodall has won five Olympic medals, including a gold, one silver and three bronze. He is also a two -time silver medalist from the World Championship, after finishing second in the 100m Male T 64 and 400m Male T 62 in Kobe last year.
