Orlando Magic faced the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, where Wendell Carter Jr. he faced former MVP Nikola Jokic. While the Magic fell to the Nuggets, 126-115, Carter Jr. impressed when she faced Jokic, attracting the attention of his rumored girlfriend, WNBA superstar Angel Reese.

AX, Reese crowned Carter Jr. as its most improved player after the Magic center contributed 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field and nine rebounds.

The Magic center guarded Jokic in the game as well, albeit with little or nothing, as the Nuggets star posted a triple-double of 23 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to lead his team to its sixth straight victory.

Carter Jr. has averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game this season as the Magic’s starting center. Last year, he averaged just 9.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, his worst averages since his rookie season.

Reese has been hinting at a relationship with Carter Jr. in recent months. Coming into her second season in the WNBA, she averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds for the Chicago Sky.

Wendell Carter Jr. got candid about his romantic relationship with WNBA’s Angel Reese during Fan Duel’s “Run It Back” podcast.

Without confirming anything, Carter Jr. said that he and Reese “are locked in” together as they continue to show signs of their relationship on social media.

“That’s the safe man. We got locked in,” Carter said. “You’ll all find out when you need to know. We’ll leave it at that. This is my girl, though. We’re locked in safe.”

Reese has yet to appear in a Magic game, but with his suggestions on social media, it may only be a matter of time.

For now, Carter Jr. and the Magic will focus on rebounding as they face the Utah Jazz for their next game on Saturday.
