Amanda Balionis opens the hectic 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, Amanda Balionis shared a look back at her busy year. The CBS reporter revealed how much she traveled while also talking about needing a break for her mental health.

In a clip shared on Instagram, Balionis was seen standing on a beach, sipping coffee as she reflected on her year. Its title read:

“I had these big plans for a year-end wrap-up and every time I went to do it, my brain screamed, ‘I DON’T WANT’ 😂. I calculated my 2025 trip over the last 11 months and realized that it’s okay to be prepared to do less for a little bit.”

Balionis spent 2025 traveling more than 104,000 miles, flying 219 hours and visiting 42 cities in seven countries on three continents. She spent 19 straight weeks on the road covering the gulf before switching to NFL duties in the fall.

With such a busy year finding time to rest was a struggle. Balionis admitted that he often felt like he didn’t deserve a break.

“I’m afraid I’m going to have to work on this habit of believing that ‘rest is earned’ … so for the rest of this year I’ll be busy doing less and working to undo some of that conversation that keeps me busy when I don’t need it,” Balionis added.

Despite his hectic work life, Balionis also made time to enjoy life. His most recent The trip was to Istanbul, Turkey in October with his mother, Dana.
