“I was in a shock state”

Wide DK receiver Metcalf Joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2021 after being selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL project. He soon developed a connection with the team quarterback, Russell Wilson.

In the field, the duo combined 216 receptions, 3,170 yards and 29 touchdowns, with an average of 14.7 yards per reception.

In the countryside, Metcalf respected Wilson as an older brother. Thus, it was saddened when the Seahawks traded Wilson at the end of the 2021 season. During an appearance in the podcast of the NBA legend Kevin Garnett in March 2022, Metcalf expressed its disappointment:

“I was in shock because I didn't think it happened. The staff staff called me and told me it could happen. One hour later, it happened.

Although Wilson was treated well by the Seahawks, he wanted to play for a team containing a championship. He expressed the same feeling during an appearance on the “The Dan Patrick” program in February 2021, when the Tampa Bay buccaneers assumed the heads of Kansas City.

“You know what I hate: I hate sitting there seeing that other guys play the game,” Metcalf said. “There is nothing worse.”

According to an ESPN report in 2022, Wilson wanted, believing that coach Pete Carroll and his direction retained him. The Seahawks then lost their faith, and so Wilson did.

It was exchanged, along with a selection of the fourth round of 2022, to Denver Broncos in exchange for Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, Noah Fant, the first and second round for the next two drafts and a choice of the fifth round of 2022. It is considered one of the biggest blockbuster operations in the NFL story.
