Colorado Buffaloes Shedeur Sanders Quarterback was not selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL project.
Before the university football season began, Sanders was the first general choice. However, he ended up going down the first lap, which was disappointing by the polarizing quarterback.
Now, before the second round, the Yates field of the ESPN NFL draft gave Sanders a few worse news, pointing out that quarterbacks are usually not selected in the second round.

“I thought there was a real possibility to hear the name Shedeur Sanders at the end of the first lap, perhaps in a trade like the giants executed with the bouquets to get Jaxson Dart,” Yates told Sportscenter. “This did not take place and, as our researcher Evan Kaplan said, there have been a total of the last three drafts, so, a quarterback taken in the second round.
“I would love to sit here and say -on the floor of Shedeur Sanders is the selection # 40 where the next selection of New Orleans Saints, and of course the brown have two of the first four options, but I cannot say -with certainty,” said Yates.
Although only a quarterback was taken in the second round in the last three drafts, it seems likely that Shedeur Sanders And both Jalen Milroe will be in the second round.
The Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints could be landing points for Sanders on the 2nd of the 2025 NFL project.
Shedeur Sanders was not chosen in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft.
After not being chosen, Sanders spoke to his party and said that this only provides fuel to his fire.
“Of course, we didn't expect this,” Sanders said, through NBC Sports. “But I feel like God, anything is possible. Everything is possible. I do not think that happens, you know, for no reason. All this is, of course, fuel for the fire. In no case do we know that it should have passed. But we understand, we are older and better. Tomorrow the day. We will be happy independently.”
Sanders passed 353 by 477 by 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season in Colorado. Although he was not chosen, Sanders relies on his skills that he will be able to be an initial quarterback in the NFL.
