“This team is super hunger”: Nebraska's volleyball coach Dani Busboom Kelly

Nebraska Volleyball's main coach Dani Busboom Kelly has expressed his reflections on the team's commitment. He praised the work ethics of his players, emphasizing how they have been mentally and physically dedicated from day one.

Kelly became the lead coach of the Nebraska volleyball program after John Cook's retirement in January 2025. Under his orientation, the team has continued to find success in both volleyball and spring games.

“It is in the blood or is not, or it is something you are passionate about. So, once I got this first job, you know, I knew it was in the long run,” he added.

Kelly then talked about how the best part of being a coach is the connection he forms with his players and the joy of seeing them grow. He also added that his players kept her young and that the job is so nice, she often does not want to work.
