Mitch Marner, after a year of race during the regular season, goes to the free unrestricted agency. Things seem to be in a tendency to a long and historical extension with the maple leaves of Toronto. However, after another unpleasant playoff show and a loss of party 7, Marner's future is much less safe.
He will probably have the suitors, but Darren Dreg de TSN is not sure whether or not Toronto is very motivated to participate in a tender war for him. He took on Twitter Monday to share his thoughts:
“I think Toronto was comfortable in a time to pay Mitch Marner in an eight -year mega, more than $ 13.5 million a year.”
Now that their season is over and they have the advantage of seeing Marner and the team went out to the playoffs, Dreger is not sure that the leaves are ready to address this number.
Marner has been a key member of the CORE Four and with the team for nine seasons, but this Four nucleus has regularly left. This time, the Florida panthers embarrassed them from their house ice to send them with a game of 6-1, and could have finished Marner Leafs' possession.
Mitch Marner did not have much time to process the end of his season before asking -what he thought was his next Nhl Career, and I didn't have much to say.
After match 7 of the Playoffs of the Stanley Cup Series, said Marner through NHL.com:
“I have no thought about this right now. I mean, quite devastated with what has just happened. Yes, devastated. I have always enjoyed this team and this city, as I have always said.”
Also reflected to play with the captain Auston Matthews:
“Playing with Auston has been incredible. I mean, everyone in this team, so many qualified boys, but obviously, playing with Auston for the past six, seven years, whatever it has been, it makes the game easy. And you know it, he is one of the best for a reason.”
Marner's free agency this year could launch a key in its ability to anchor this upper line with Matthews for maple leaves in the future.
