Uconn Star Sarah Strong was named on the United States list for the FIBA 3X3 female series, which will be held from May 23 to 24 in Marseille, France. The most experienced name on the list is the 31 -year -old striker, Cierra Burdick, who currently plays in Valencia Basket Club. Her presence has Strong's mother.
Burdick, Fort, Mikaylah Williams and Sahara Williams were the four names announced to represent the US at the event.
Burdick has been playing at the highest level since 2015 and has been part of the two Gold Medal Winning Parts of the 3×3 World Cup for the USA. Strong's mother, Allison Feaster, is looking forward to seeing her daughter learning from such an experienced hooper during the tournament.
On Wednesday, FEASTER re -published the list of his Instagram stories and titled it:
“Enchanted with this group of young talent to learn from Olympian @c_burdick11.”

Feaster was also a highest basketball talent in his day, playing university basketball in Harvard from 1994 to 1998 before being drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks As a fifth general selection. He was the leader of the NCAA season in 1997 and 1998, while the striker was also a WNBA All-Star in 2004.
Like FEASTER, BURDYK was also written by Los Angeles Sparks in 2015 after playing in Tennessee from 2011 to 2015. However, it was cut before the start of the season, but was signed by the Atlanta's dream.
Burdick has represented the US at different degrees of age and was part of the 3×3 team that won a bronze medal in Paris 2024.
Strong hopes to follow this success path. He has already won gold medals at the U18 level as a member of Team USA. Strong won FIBA 3×3 U18 Women's World Cup in 2022, 2023 and 2024. He also won a gold medal at FIBA U18 Women -American in Colombia last summer.
Strong won the NCAA title in his first year in Uconn last season, and while he was one of the most important players on the team, Bueckers was the leader.
In an interview on CNBC television on May 14, Strong spoke of his relationship with the old Huskies star.
“We have a very good relationship. I mean, I look towards her. He is a really great leader,” said Strong (9:26). “It's like the way it takes so good confidence in court, on the court. So just learning that trust is really important.”
With Bueckers now in the WNBA, Strong has been considered the next face of university women's basketball after his performance last season.
