Old USC Hooper Dominique Darius transferred to orange“Target =” _ blank “rel =” noopener noreferrer “dat-is-ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Trojans. However, he has now revealed the true reason for his departure in a video on Instagram.
The forwarding published the video on Thursday with the subtitle:
“Always choose authenticity above all!.
In the video, Darius explained the reasons why he left the USC and chose Syracuse. She explained:
“First, as you know, as you know, I transferred Ucla. This would be my third school, and many people are like, “Oh my God, you transferred three times, eh?” But to be sincere, it really wasn't that bad.
“ The first reason I transferred. I wanted to get a master's degree. This year I registered on purpose, so I could be in a situation to get my master's degree next year.I know that many people think that it is only because I may not play or anything, which was definitely partially like now. Obviously, athletics has a role in the reason why you transfer, but for me, for me, I wanted to have my master's degree.
“ Number two, I really want to be closer to home, to be honest. Being close to my house was really important to me. I have been to the one for four years and I am from the east coast. I lived in Florida. I lived in New York, in Jersey. I could count many times my family went out to see me play. There is no shadow for them.I love you very much, but I want to say that it is a cross flight and it is expensive.
“Number three, obviously playing opportunities. This is huge. I mean, that is why most people are transferred. If we are going to keep it -we will be honestly. You all know that I wrote the previous year and probably you all see my statistics. If we look at my statistics, they weren't excellent. But I didn't play much.
“Really, you don't know, but I was about to give up last year. This was my last year. I'm going to play in a few games, probably not so much.”
Dominique Darius, daughter of the former Syracuse Football Defense, Donovin Darius, has one more year of eligibility. The striker already played two seasons in UCLA before moving to USC in the middle of his junior season.
However, he did not participate much in his only season with the Trojans, with an average of 8.7 minutes in 2023-24 before reducing the 2024-25 season.
The orange list lost many players to their eligibility last season, including the highest scorer Georgia Woolley, the leader of the rebound Kyra Wood and the helping leader Dominique Camp.
Syracuse added Dominique Darius to the team with the first -year students Camdyn Nelson and Jasmyn Cooper, with the ex -USC of the USC planned to lead the post next season.
The orange ended with a record of 12-18 last season and did not get the first round of the ACC Tournament.
