The Packers will likely take an approach on the best players available early in the draft. It stands to reason, however, that they would target defense in the first round. Green Bay just used a first-round pick on the matchup, and the 2025 draft class isn't particularly impressive up the middle.
Fortunately, the 2025 class has some impressive prospects at the cornerback position. While Stokes hasn't quite worked out as a full-time quarterback for Notre Dame-like Jair Alexander Benjamin Morrison power.
Morrison was the Bleacher Report Scouting Department's post-regular pick for Green Bay mock draft.
“Morrison's skills and versatility are ideal for the Packers, who have been decimated by injuries to their cornerback group over the past few seasons,” Cory Giddings from the B/R Reconnaissance Division, he said. “…His ball skills and ability to maintain tight coverage on receivers would give him immediate impact, especially in an NFC North dominated by physical, speedy receivers.”
The mid-rounds are also a realistic target area for a center like Ohio State Seth McLaughlin or Jake Majors from Texas.
While the Packers have a strong group of skill players, they could consider adding a young playmaker like the Clemson running back Phil Mafah or Miami receiver Xavier Restrepo into the mix. That decision could hinge on whether Green Bay retains restricted free agents Bo Melton and Emmanuel Wilson.
In all, the Packers should have seven picks in the 2025 draft, one in each round.
