Novak Djokovic made some honest comments about the potential of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to break their records. Alcaraz, currently ranked No. 3 in the ATP rankings, and Sinner, who is ranked No. 1, have been generating a lot of buzz in the tennis world lately.
Djokovic has etched his name into tennis history with an astonishing 24 Grand Slam titles, including 10 Australian Opens, three French Opens, seven Wimbledons and four US Opens, making him the most successful male player in all the time In the 2024 season, he added the final piece to his legacy by securing his long-awaited Olympic gold medal in Paris.

“It's too early. But, you know, people say my records will never be broken. I doubt it. I mean, Carlos could already be next. Even Jannik,” Djokovic said.
He also stressed that if Sinner and Alcaraz prioritize their fitness and take care of their bodies, they could achieve long-term success.
“If they take care of the body, if they do things the right way, they focus on longevity, they focus on the long term, then they can do it,” he added.

If Djokovic wins, he will meet Pavel Kotov in the second round, followed by a possible third-round clash with either Reilly Opelka or Tomas Machac. Grigor Dimitrov or Jiri Lehecka will await him in the fourth round.
If the Serb makes it through to the quarter-finals, he could face his toughest test yet in a highly-anticipated showdown with Carlos Alcaraz. Alternatively, he could face either Sebastian Korda or 2024 US Open semi-finalist Jack Draper.
In the semifinals, the 24-time Grand Slam champion could meet formidable opponents such as Alexander Zverev, Casper Ruud or Tommy Paul. If he reaches the final, he could face world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz or Alex de Minaur.
