Amanda Balionis Address to the family of Aldrich Potgieter's “sacrifices” after 20 years win the classic rocket


Sports journalist Amanda Balionis congratulated Aldrich Potgieter on winning his PGA Broadcast event in 2025 Rocket Classic. The 20 -year -old ended in a three -way draw for the lead after the final round of the tournament, held on Sunday, June 29, with Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk.

The winner was determined after the three competed in a sudden playoff. Kirk was eliminated in the second playoff hole after a bogey, while Aldrich Potgieter and Greyserman continued to play three more holes.

They parked in the third hole in the playoff, followed by a bird in the next. In the fifth hole in Playoff, hole 15 in the golf course, South -African recorded a victory by making a bird.

After his victory, Amanda Balionis shared a sincere post on his Instagram account. She wrote:

“It took 77 holes, but @aldrichpotgieter is now the youngest player in South Africa to win the PGA Tour. The 20-year-old Novio told us on Saturday that his nearby calls this season prepared him for the correct mentality today and this turned out to be true. This victory is a change of life for the whole family.

“Aldrich while her mother stays with her sister in the south -Africa to ensure that and everyone takes care of her. Now her schedule will be easier to plan and the family will get more time together instead of working on two sides of the world. There has been sacrifice, but it has been worth it.”

Aldrich Potgieter was at the helm after three rounds of the PGA Tour event and expanded it after playing in the fourth round of 69, and finally took the title to Playoff. Michael Thorbjornsen settled in a fourth tie with Jake Knappfollowed by Nico Evarria and Jackson Suber, who tied for sixth place.

The PGA Tour shared a video of Potgieter's celebration after making the Birdie on his Instagram account, with the subtitle:

The victory took place after a season full of low and ground floor. Aldrich Potgieter launched the campaign in 2025 Sony Open, but lost the cut in its first two outings. However, he bounced and was the runner -up in the Open of MexicoBut then he fought again with his game and lost the cut in four consecutive events. Before playing Rocket Classic, he settled in T6 at Charles Schwab Challenge.
