Arch Manning will be Texas Longhorns' initial quarterback for the 2025 season, after the departure of Quinn Ewers to the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. Although many are eager to see Manning Fares in their first season as a starter, the SEC analyst, Paul Finebaum, has stated that Texas's QB could be under pressure to deliver to his team.
Finebaum appeared in Espn's “Get Up” on Friday and offered Manning a warning about critics if he did not get a good start in the 2025 season. When asked which player he will face the “biggest pressure” next season, Finebaum chose Texas QB.
“He is the largest player in the history of university football and this is Arch Manning. I mean, I don't know what else we can say about him, but we will continue to say it,” Finebaum said with a touch of sarcasm.

“Unfortunately, this entails pressure. Everyone will see him against Ohio State on the first Saturday. If he does not act, critics will rain.”
Texas will be on the road when it opens the 2025 season against Ohio state. The Buckeyes are the national champions that reign and want to start the defense of their title with a victory.
In addition, Manning comes from the royalty of football. His uncles, Eli and Peyton, are Super Bowl -winning QBS, while his grandfather, Archie, also played as a NFL quarterback for 13 seasons.
Therefore, it is only natural that many expect the young Arch to be up to date with his family's legacy.
In the July 1 edition of “Get Up” by Espn, Paul Finabaum gave Arch Manning a great fulfillment comparing the Texas QB with Tim Tebow, which won the Heisman trophy in Florida in 2007.
“I think there is a reasonably good possibility that Arch Manning is in the front row of New York at the Heisman ceremony,” said Finebaum.
“This means that your team does what you are supposed to do and compete not only for the dry, but for the National Championship, and I think they will do it.”
Manning pledged to Texas in 2023. He redesigned his first year and served as a backup of Quinn Ewers last season.
Manning registered 939 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions, while at the same time rushed by four TD in the 2024 season. He started two games for Texas when Ewers was injured and led the team to convince victories in both.
However, Manning will be under an added pressure when obtaining the QB1 site for Texas in the 2025 season.
