Linfield FC Play welcomes Shelbourne to Windsor Park in the second stage of UEFA Champions League First round of standings on Wednesday. David Healy's men suffered a close defeat in Dublin last Tuesday and will aim to turn the tie to head in front of their supporters of their home.
Linfield's hopes of protecting football from the Champions League suffered a first blow when they fell in the defeat by 1-0 against Shelbourne in the first game of their first classification match.
With this result, Healy's side has lost each of its last four competitive games, including a penalty shooting defeat against Dungannon Swift in the Northern Ireland Charity Cup on July 4.
However, Linfield will support himself to override the first leg deficit when they return home, where they have won 10 of their 12 competitive games since the year.
Following the first result of last week at Tolka Park, Shelbourne has won consecutive victories for the first time since he won four games in a row in February.
Joseph O'Brien's men are unbeaten in five of their last five games in all competitions (3W, 2D), after having won a victory from the five previous games to this race.
This form of form has seen Shelbourne increase in fifth place at the Irish Premier League Table and try to keep their dreams league dreams reaching the second round of standings on Wednesday.
At the back of a first -half life victory, Shelbourne Journey at Windsor Park in the driver's seat in this tie and will try to do the job again.
Home advantage provides Linfield a slight advantage, but we expect O'BIrien's men will remain on a part of the boots to reach the second round in total.
Prediction: Linfield FC 1-1 Shelbourne
Tip 1: Result – Drawing
Tip 2: More than 10.5 Cantons: No (there have been less than 11 times in the last six of Shelbourne's last six games)
