Fred Vasseur has been in Ferrari since 2023, when he entered to replace the outgoing Mattia Binotto. In two and a half years, the Frenchman has already brought the team to a second place in the Championship of Builders (2024) who lost the title on the last day of the season.
Vasseur is also considered to be one of the reasons why Lewis Hamilton Joined Ferrari in 2025. The British had previously worked with him at the Grand Grand Prix in GP2 (now F2), when he won the feeder series in 2006.
Mercedes Ace Toto Wolff has supported Ferrari's head, Fred Vasseur, who labeled the 57 -year -old as a “great personality”. The Austrian also stated that he would choose Vasseur to lead Mercedes if he were not around.
Wolff shared his belief that Vasseur only needs more time and confidence to make things well in Ferrari.
“Fred is one of the best racing managers I know. If I wasn't here, I would take me to cold. So I respect it a lot. It's a great personality. It's a simple boy.” said Wolff (via f1.com).
Does not make politics and lies. He knows what he is talking about. You just have to have the confidence to run -he added.
Without a doubt, Ferrari has taken a step back from its 2024 highs. At the end of last season, the horses were regularly appeared on the podium and was a short distance from the title of its first builders from 2008 to the last round in Abu Dhabi.
