Zeds in Killing Floor 3 and the previous games are also known as specimens, created by the ex -CEO of the Horzine Corporation Kevin Camely.

Clamely is also a familiar face for the veterans of the franchise. He is also known as the Patriarch and is the only head struggle in the first party. At the murder of floor 2, he is one of the heads and the main antagonist in the entire franchise.

He was officially hired by the British government to create super soldiers and tried to do so through his deceased's body and DNA. This led to the creation of the first clot (the lowest level of Zeds). It then caused the outbreak for unknown reasons and transformed into the monstrous patriarch to protect their enemies.
