Old Former League League Troy Deeney has predicted this new signing Alejandro Garnacho will have a decent season in Chelsea. He hopes that the Argentine Winger will score seven goals and get five assists, as he would not start every week.
Chelsea signed Alejandro Garnacho in the last days of Manchester United Summer Transfer Window. The Blues paid £ 40 million to get the Argentinian, which was hit with a price of 50 million pounds after a fall with Ruben Amorim at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Speaking at The Football Exchange of Talksport, Deeney wondered if Garnacho adapts to the system used by Maresca on the Stamford bridge. He does not see the wing start every week and said:
“I'm going to say seven (goals) and five (assists). I don't think it will start every week. There will be a lot of growth as a Chelsea player. I would first score first to help him first.
Garnacho will fight against Jamie Gittens, Tyrique George and Pedro Neto for the starting place on the left side of the attack. The end had options to move to Bayern Munich or meet with Cristiano Ronaldo in Al-Nassr, but chose to promote a move to the Stamford bridge.
The new signing Alejandro Garnacho spoke with Chelsea's media team after sealing his move to Stamford Bridge and admitted that he used to follow the side during his time with Atlético de Madrid. He claimed that Eden Hazard was his favorite player and an idol during his youth.
The end continued to talk about his decision to unite the Blues and said:
“The Chelsea is on top, and it is important to fight for the club as the fans. I saw the Club World Cup, and to join -Meeting in the world champions is special; it means that we are the best team in the world! It is not common to play a lot of games at this age, but it has helped me a lot. I only have 21 years and I have a lot of experience in these different types of games, stadiums and moments.”
Garnacho was present at Stamford Bridge during the Blues victory 2-0 on Fulham on Saturday, August 30. However, it was not presented by the club and it is now expected that his debut will pass against Brentford on Saturday, September 13.
