Despite this gap, Lawson emphasized that his weekend was positive and the car showed speed.

The weekend started on Friday with a constant race. The two racing bulls were in a second of the first reference to Lewis Hamilton, and by FP3, Hadjar had closed less than three tenths of the McLaren faster.

That left the Italian GP an opportunity to reset. From the back, Lawson was played with a soft and hard strategy, the only driver who adopted this approach. He left his first stop in the middle of a battle with Oliver Beaman and Yuki Tsunoda, repeatedly changing positions through the closing stages. When the flag fell, he crossed the P14 line, his teammate Hadjar moved from the pit lane to P10, despite the chaos of the late race.

Post-cursa, Liam Lawson He admitted that the result did not reflect the car's capacity.

“I don't think the car was necessarily slow, but compared to the week before Zandvoort. But we also had our much trouble, which did not help us, so it probably is not as bad as it looks like,” Lawson said (via track Racing 365)).

Monza is the second consecutive race outside Lawson's points, after scoring in three of the previous four.

The defining moment of Liam Lawson's career came when he met on wheels with wheel Yuki tsunoda. The couple headed next to the Roggia Chicana after putting into different strategies: Lawson on hard hard, tsunoda in fresh media. His cars touched, the left side of Lawson, who was to the right of Tsunoda, sending both through the runoff.

The incident damaged Tsunoda's apartment and limited it to a 13th place. After the race the Japanese driver did not hide his frustration.

“ It's very frustrating, to be sincere. I fought for points and … (it was) a very unnecessary movement of Lawson. I don't know what to say … we know he is an aggressive driver and I think he is not a bad thing, but at the same time, there is a line that we cannot step on and to be further. Especially when we are the same roof (Red Bull), '' said Tsunoda.

Lawson, on the other hand, defended his approach.

“It happened to me, I tried to go back and tightened me in the braking area. We both left, so I returned the position, but … I was on the edge of the court, so it was near,” he said.

The exchange carried an additional weight given its shared story. Liam Lawson had joined Yuki Tsunoda at Racing Bulls last season before the Japanese pilot was promoted to replace it in Red Bull Two rounds by 2025. Both have faced difficult sections for the senior team and their junior dress, making the Sunday shock a reminder of the end of the margins within the Red Bull system.

For Lawson, he is now heading to Bakú, where the memories of a formula 2 sprint podium in 2022 offer spirits. As Racing bulls Continuing near the midfield, Lawson will be eager to turn the flashes of speed into a result that matches his sentence.
