“Super proud”: Lynx coach, Cheryl Reeve

WNBA co-DPOY Awards have caused a little backward Minnesota Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve and Las Vegas Aes Coach Becky Hammon.

Following the announcement that Alanna Smith and A'ja Wilson would share this year's DPOY Award, Hammon made a subtle excavation in Smith, saying that a white -tailed deer looks good until a lime (Wilson) enters.

In response, Reeve fired on Friday during a press conference, where she and Smith spoke about the prize and next season. The veteran coach said:

“I am proud that Alanna Smith is a Lynx of Minnesota and it is very proud that this honor was given and we love our white deer.”

So far, Hammon has not yet responded. However, if both Lynx and Aces are victorious of their respective semifinal series, the two co-DPoys could face the WNBA finals.

While Wilson and Aces are preparing to face Indiana fever in the semifinals, Lynx hopes to see who predominates in New York Liberty vs. Phoenix Mercury Series, which is currently linked by 1-1.
