Pete Alonso and the hopes of the New York Mets posts are hung by a thread and the team could use all the help they could get. After the Mets kept their season alive with a 5-0 victory against the Miami Marlins on Saturday, Alonso revealed his superstition.
The Mets had such a needed victory against the Marlins thanks to Pete Alonso's Dos-Rbi Night. Alonso, who shot his 38th race at home on Saturday, shared that he was carrying the socks of teammate Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor's commercial brand patch for the game.
“I bring the socks of Juan Soto, I put Francisco Lindor's Eye Black, and then I used the lotion of Brandon Nimmo,” said Alonso. “All my teammates, very grateful for the good vibrations.”

Alonso, who is expected to opt for his current Mets Agreement to become a free agent in the low season, broke the deadline with a double RBI in the first post. While the Marlins pitcher, Eury Pérez, was dealing with electrical things all night, Alonso seized his 100.6 -meter 100.6 mph for a solo house in the third post.
“He tried to sneak a,” said Alonso, “and I feel he was ready for it.”
The solo shot of the Mets Star was only the 15th time a 100 km / h playing ground was broken for a home career this season. Pérez, who won the 11 -meter seasonal blows, awarded two of his three times to Alonso.
While Pete Alonso put on the plate, Clay Holmes was indisputable to the mound, throwing six unmatched entrances to close Miami, who won only one hit the whole game.
The mets are tied for the final place of the NL NL with the Cincinnati Reds, who maintain the tiebreaker on New York. Both teams go to the last day of the regular season with a place in the following season on the line.
In order for the Mets to qualify, they have to win against Miami at the end of the series and wait for the Milwaukee Brewers, who have already achieved the best basketball record, can do them a favor by overcoming the Reds.
