Ferrari Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc He shares the contrasting verdici after the F1 Singapore GP rating, where he felt more in the car, and the other was not satisfied with the tools below him. The session saw that the two drivers qualified for Sunday at P6 and P7, a significant fall since 2024, when the car was apparently much faster.
This time, however, the rhythm was not there, as Lewis Hamilton could only gather a good enough lap for P6, with his teammate, Charles Leclerc, who ranked behind him.
Speaking about the car, Lewis Hamilton was quite disappointed, as he felt that a better starting position was on the race table, but the results were frustrated by the bad preparation of the tires. The Brit has been the best Ferrari driver throughout the weekend in Singapore, and even the qualification maintained this slight advantage over Charles Leclerc. Speaking of the result of the rating, he said,
“I think the rhythm was there, I think we simply optimized the sessions, the Q2 on basically. Basically. I am definitely more comfortable in the car. This weekend I think I've been driving very well: I've been very satisfied with my car performance.”
Added,
“I think P6 is not good. I certainly think we should have been later, but it was the temperature of the tires today and it is every week, almost. I think tomorrow it will be difficult from where we are, there is not much that we can do from there.”
Unlike Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc appeared in the sea throughout the weekend and was beaten by the veteran rating. Speaking of the session, Leclerc revealed large struggles with the car throughout the weekend of the race and were peroled in the rating. Said,
“It was not a good lap, but to be honest, it is not a good lap because the car has been incredibly difficult since the beginning of the weekend to drive and join things.”
Added,
“Learning things in the car when things only react differently from one corner to another is very complicated, and that's what happened today. I am very disappointed, but it is as it is.”
The last two races have seen Mercedes Leapfrog Ferrari de P2 in the championship. Although the German team would be looking for the gap, the Italian team expected to close the gap during the race.
