A popular WWE Superstar is set to address his injury situation tonight on NXT. The star in question competed in a title match this Friday night SmackDown.
Sol Ruca and Zaria challenged Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair for the Women's Tag Team Championships on the blue brand, but came up short in the match. Ahead of tonight's episode of NXT, Sol Ruca shared a video indicating that he would be addressing the WWE Universe tonight on NXT.
“Well guys, due to some recent events, I have to head over to the NXT Universe. So, I'll see you in the ring tonight at NXT,” he said.
Cory Hayes of BodySlam then shared a video of NXT GM Ava announcing that she will also be in the ring with Ruca for his announcement tonight. In the preview for tonight's episode of NXT on the official WWE website, it is noted that the WWE Women's Speed Champion will address an injury suffered on SmackDown during tonight's show.
Wrestling legend Vince Russo took the company to task after this week's episode of SmackDown for how they introduced Zaria and Sol Ruca.
Speaking at Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown show, Russian noted that the company didn't bother to show their names during a backstage segment this past Friday night. He claimed that many fans still don't know who they are, and it was a mistake on the part of the company's production team.
“I laughed too. It might have been their third week, but they had these new girls on the show that came from NXT. And there was no bottom third anymore. Can you tell me who they were? That's what I wrote: new girls. So the third week, they're on TV and we're supposed to know. There's no bottom third? You guys are horrible, they're absolutely horrible, I just see those girls that I know are horrible,” she said.
It will be fascinating to see what Sol Ruca says during tonight's episode of NXT.
