“Creepy voice like Michael Jackson”

The hosts of The bigger picture Podcast, including Elliott Wilson, recently reacted to rumors that NBA YoungBoy wanted to interview Drake. This rumor first originated during the live stream of Adin Ross's Kick on October 20, 2025, after DJ Akademiks told Ross that YoungBoy expressed a desire to interview Drake.

During the October 22, 2025 episode of The bigger picture podcast, Elliott Wilson, Jeremy Hecht and DJ Hed discussed the rumors, wondering what a potential interview between the two rappers would look like. Wilson, who previously interviewed NBA YoungBoy in 2020, claimed the rapper had “a little bit of a creepy Michael Jackson voice.”

He also mimicked the Louisiana rapper by asking Drake about his recently dismissed a defamation suit against Universal Music Group, saying:

“YoungBoy's out here, he's got the kids in a frenzy, we don't even know what he sounds like! I sat down with him, he's got a little creepy voice like he's Michael Jackson. Nobody hears him. I'm guessing Drake's going to take that out of him in this amazing interview they're going to have.”

“Do you think YoungBoy Never Broke Again is going to do a great job of journalism? Is he going to do his due diligence when he sits down with Aubrey? 'Who's the man in the lawsuit? Why do you… the lawsuit?' 'What did you say?' 'The demand… I didn't understand the demand'.

Elliott Wilson further added that while he liked “the theory of a cross-generational conversation” between NBA YoungBoy and Drake, he didn't see the rappers having “a great relationship” to hold an interesting interview.

What did DJ Akademiks say about NBA YoungBoy and Drake?

During the live stream of Adin Ross's Kick on October 20, 2025, DJ Akademiks can be seen telling Ross that NBA YoungBoy allegedly told him he wanted to interview Drake. Referring to the Louisiana rapper who goes by the moniker “Top,” Akademiks claimed he relayed YoungBoy's message to Drake, saying:

“Top told me, Top told me, Drake knows, Top said, 'I want to do an interview with Drake'… I passed the message on to Drake. That was like two weeks ago… I love both artists. Bro, he (YoungBoy) has been hating his whole career, he wants to do this now… he doesn't know how to do it the right way…”.

For the uninformed, NBA YoungBoy and Drake haven't always been on good terms, allegedly arguing with each other over their songs. According to HipHop DX, the rumored feud between NBA YoungBoy and Drake allegedly originated due to the latter's association with lil durkwho is one of YoungBoy's rivals.

In his song 2023 Fuck the industry Pt. 2, Youngboyboyboyboyboys allegedly dissing Drake and calling him his “enemy” rapping:

“B***h, I send them hitters to hit you boy don't call me shit/Talk to Drake cross FaceTime, I ain't hearin'/ Told me he f***ed with Durk, damn he got to me/Told me he like shit but we can't do it/F*** what you say, b***h, you're my enemy.”
