Port Adelaide has removed Warrere Trereta from its board after the veteran refused to apologize for comments made by a guest on a podcast.
Discussions spread in May with the veteran Afl Club to start checking.
At the time, Tredrea said on social media that he was “in no way, shape, or form, antisemite”, and that he thought he “defined the word”.
After a review of the system, the Port of Adelaide was asked Tredrea accepts the apology of the club and everyone who experienced what he did on the podcart. The club revealed today, their 46-year-old son refused, triggering his dismissal.
“The organization has cut many valuable opportunities to test its facilities, which have not changed,” a statement released on Friday said.
“After exhausting all possible solutions, the board determined that Mr Tredrea's role as director was not in the club's best interest.”
Tredrea wrote to x on Friday after the club's announcement, saying it was “a few years”.
He said: “I am worried about what many important people in our Clubs have done to remove my attention today,” he said.
“I'll be talking about more and more in the future but right now I'd love to josh (karr, afl (Arnell, AFL)
He was elected to the Arelaide port of the board last year for three years, forming a player, Bruce woke up, with 19,405 votes.
At that time, Priest David Kochi said about Tredrea: “It will be dangerous for him to know and be treated around the table.”
The Clul Club presentation said the board wanted to “clarify” this was the management's “expectations” of directors.
“It is not, and should never be interpreted as, a reflection of Warren's great contribution to Pedelaide as an actor,” he said.
The centre-half-forward played 255 games for the club, and led his side further in 2004 when he filled in as the captain of the injured team.
He became a full-time manager in 2006 when Prosy retired, and went back to power at Grand First in 2007, before giving his boots in 2010.
Tredrea underwent nine surgeries to recover after refusing her Covid vaccine, but her case was dismissed last year.
“Chief Warren Tredrea is a great coach, great ambassador, and great player to represent the club. His legacy as a player will be protected by these members,” our team.
“Heritage is not abstract and separate from this movement.”
