Who did not qualify for Daytona 500? Explore eliminated drivers

Daytona 500 2025 will take place on Sunday, February 16 in Daytona International Speedway, which includes a unique rating format that determines which drivers reach the starting line for the mega event. This year, a total of 45 drivers entered 41 points; Several notable drivers were unable to classify for the “Great North -American Breed”.

The qualification process is highly competitive, especially for “open” cars, which makes it difficult to get a place in the prestigious 500 mile race. Following the end of Thursday’s duels, JJ Yeley, Chandler Smith, Anthony Alfredo and BJ Mcleod are four drivers who did not qualify this year Daytona 500 Field.

Since only two points were left to get the duels, Justin Allgaier and Corey Lajoie were the two top finishes between the teams without a doctorate in their respective duel races and blocked their place in the prestigious workshop of the Nascar season. This struck Yeley, Smith, Alfredo and Mcleod outside the initial network.

36 charters were already confirmed in the field of 41 Daytona 500 drivers. Nine open teams competed for five points. Out of them, MARTIN TRUEX Jr. and Jimmie Johnson closed in their places through a single Wednesday car rating.

Helio Castroneves, four -time winner, Indy 500, already had a guaranteed place Provisional Rule of Nascar Exemption (OEP)ensuring their entry into the race regardless of qualifying performance. The remaining two were secured by Lajoie and Allgaier.
