An AEW star and former champion was recently compared to WWE Superstar Dominik Mysterio on social media. Fans are apparently of the opinion that the Judgment Day member has surpassed the All Elite Wrestling talent in question, who is none other than Hook.
Dominik Mysterio He is quickly cementing his place as one of the most compelling competitors on current WWE programming. The 28-year-old retained his Intercontinental Championship against Rusev and Penta in a triple threat match earlier this month on Saturday Night Main Event, and days later on Monday Night RAW he went head-to-head with his father, the legendary Rey Mysterio, who managed to dominate his son after their promo exchange and subsequent feud.
Just as Dominik has followed in his father's footsteps within the squared circle, hookthe son of ECW and WWE legend Taz, has also been pursuing his own pro-wrestling journey in AEW since 2020. The former and last FTW champion regularly appears on the Tony Khan-led company's programming alongside many of its top names. Recently, a social media user compared the two stars on X/Twitter, sparking a debate about which one is better.
Since then, fans have jumped on the platform to share their thoughts on the matter, with a slew of comments favoring “Dirty” Dom over The Cold Hearted Handsome Devil. One user even suggested that Hook should move on to WWE, while another argued that AEW hasn't properly developed the New York native as a talent like WWE developed Dominik over the past few years.
Hook is currently aligned with Eddie Kingston and is feuding with his former mentor and trios partner, Samoa Joe.
Flanked by Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata, Samoa Joe appeared on AEW Dynamite this week to confront Tony Schiavone for the role he played in helping Adam Page ambush The Opps last week. Although initially outnumbered, the men's world champion found reinforcements in the form of Hook and Eddie Kingston. The 26-year-old challenged The Samoan Submission Machine and his partners to defend their tag team championships against him, The Mad King and The Cowboy. The bout, which took place as the main event of the show, ended with The Opps retained their belts after Hobbs dispatched Hook with a torture rack.

It remains to be seen what happens for the Hook on AEW schedule after this Wednesday's loss.
