Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs will host the visiting Boston Bruins at Scotiabank Arena on November 8, 2025, for the first of three meetings between the two Original Six teams this season.
Both teams are on a hot streak; Boston has won their last five games and Toronto has won four of their last five games. Austin Matthews he has recovered his scoring mojo, and currently leads his team with 8 goals scored. Morgan Geekie is off to a great start for the Bruins, scoring 10 goals in 16 games and is on pace for a career-high 51 goals.
Toronto has won four of its last five games, the only loss being a 6-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. Bruins are on a five-game winning streak, after a shaky start to the season.
The Leafs will be without Chris Tanev, who was placed on injured reserve for the second time in a matter of weeks after a collision with the Flyers' Matvei Michkov. Joseph Woll has returned to the team after missing time for personal reasons, but will join the Marlies for a conditioning period. D Simon Benoit may return after missing last game due to illness.
Bruins will miss center Elias Lindholmwho is out with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss at least two weeks. John Beecher's status is unknown after the center left the Nov. 6 game against the Senators. D-man Jordan Harris underwent surgery in late October and is expected to miss at least two months.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are favored to win the moneyline at -188, while the Boston Bruins are the underdogs at +155. The point spread is +/- 1.5 – Bruins must win or lose by just 1 goal, or Leafs must win by two or more goals. The total number of goals over/under is set at 6.5.
