Amon-Ra’s Girlfriend St. Brown, Brooklyn Adams, has been in the spotlight lately due to her interpretation of the controversial “WAG” label. Namely, wives and girlfriends, has received mixed reviews and criticism from many fellow players, including Adams.

He called out the controversial label during an interview in November. The model shared a new take on being the Lions wide receiver’s girlfriend on Thursday, something that is often directed at her.

A fan asked her during an Instagram Q&A if she likes being an NFL player’s girlfriend.

“I love being Amon-Ra’s girlfriend,” Adams wrote.

Adams emphasized during the November interview that “we are more than wives and girlfriends of athletes.”

“I have a name, and if you knew me, you’d realize that I’m more than just a girlfriend,” Adams said via People . “I love that they put a spin on it. I don’t like the ‘WAG’ title. Nothing against anyone who likes it. It’s nice that girls put their own spin on it. But to give it that title, I’m not a fan.”

Brooklyn Adams reflected on his journey as Amon-Ra St. Browngirlfriend during another segment of the interview. He noted that the lifestyle of NFL players’ partners was different than what most fans might have thought.

“I try to explain that players have left all the time,” Adams said. “A lot of people don’t understand that this can be a really lonely lifestyle. We do a lot and put up with a lot, and yes, we know what we signed up for. I’m not complaining in any way, but we do a lot more than we get credit for.”

Adams has also been embracing the role of receiver stylist. The model recently dressed in brown for his latest collaboration with an NFL-inspired apparel brand.
