While the MLB All-Star Game of 2025 brought together some of the players with better yields throughout the league in the first half of the season, it also provided such a necessary break to others.
Boston Red Sox Manager Alex Cora was one of the names that used the All-Star rest to move away from basketball. Red Sox's manager said on Friday that he attended the Coldplay concert on Wednesday at the Foxborough Gillette Stadium, Massachusetts.
“In fact, I was (a) the Wednesday concert (Coldplay),” Cora said before the game against the Chicago Cubs. “It was fun.”

The concert was in the news after the band's main singer, Chris Martin, unnoticed the CEO of the astronomer Andy Byron, and the alleged adventure of Kristin Cabot's human resources chief.
Cora's comment took reaction from the MLB fans, who presented their participation in the Houston Astros“Sign clothing scandal in 2017.
“Alex Cora anyway has an affinity for cheaters” wrote a fan.
“He knows that everything that traps do I'm sure he could relate -” alleging another.
“He knows one thing or two on the cheating scandals.” Wrote another fan.
The setback continued:
“So were there more than 2 traps?” wrote a fan.
“So you added your comment, as you are an expert in cheating?” mocked from a fan.
Byron and Cabot saw themselves hugging the Jumbotron, but they immediately moved away from each other once they were captured on the screen. Astronomer has opened an investigation into his employees.
“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have been guided by our foundation. It is expected that our leaders will establish the standard in both behavior and accountability,” a statement from the company read. “The Board of Directors has begun a formal investigation on this topic and we will have additional details to share very soon.”
While Alex Cora was in the spotlight of his activities off the field during All-Star's break, his team's first game after the Midsummer classic was a loss of 4-1 against the cubes. The loss ended its victory of ten games, its longest streak since 2018.
It was a frustrating offensive output for the Red Sox, as they left eight runners at the base in punctuation positions. Boston Infielder Abraham bullwho was one of the culprits of the fifth post, owned his mistake.
“I have to blame me,” Toro said. “Being launched, a double play, that kills the rally. So yes, it was a bad decision.”
Alex Cora and the Red Sox will wait to bounce the second game of the series in Wrigley Field on Saturday.
