Bright Dust is one of the most important coins for Destiny 2 players as it helps everyone to purchase the best skin shop trinkets in the game. Over the years, there have been several ways to get this free in-game currency, ranging from Seasonal Challenges, Bounties, and the Season Pass. However, with the release of the Renegades expansion, a few things changed for the Bright Dust farm.
This article lists the best sources to get your Bright Dust in Destiny 2 to buy your favorite trinket in the Eververse store.
How to Farm Bright Dust in Destiny 2 (2025-26)
Here is a list of sources you can farm Bright Dust from, along with the number of Bright Dust from each:
Season Pass, 10500 Sparkling Dust: The free track gives 7200, and the paid track gives 3300.
Exotic Orders, approximately 6000 glowing dust: Each exotic command completion can get you 200 shiny dust. Let’s assume you’ve completed at least 30, and 6000 is the limit for exotic orders each season.
Seasonal and Order Center, 1900 Bright Dusts: Weekly objectives and the tracker give you 800 shiny dust per week, with Vanguard alert challenges dropping 100 shiny dust. The rest can be obtained with common and legendary commands. The weekly limit for common and legendary orders is 1,000 per week.
Daily Challenges, 2520 Shiny Powders: Completing all daily challenges for the entire season over the course of 12 weeks will leave you with 2520 Shiny Dust at the end of the season.
In the events, rewards grant lots of shiny dust for the limited time an event is active. This can be done at any annual event, including the Guardian Games, Dawning, Solstice, and many more.
