Andrade is currently embroiled in a legal battle with WWE, and in the midst of his situation, El Idolo has sent a message to a popular star in the Stamford-based company.
After making a shocking return at Royal Rumble 2024, Andrade made a second WWE exit in September of this year and returned to AEW a month later on Dynamite's six-year anniversary. However, since then El Idolo has not appeared in the Jacksonville promotion as reports indicated that he breach of the non-compete clause in his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. The former NXT Champion recently shared a photo on X with Mexican wrestling veteran Pimpinela Escarlata. Interestingly, the post got a response from WWE star Rey Fenix, who seemed surprised to see Pimpinela with Andrade.
This prompted a response from El Idolo, who greeted his compatriot.
“Greetings, compatriot! 😅”.
Although he is banned from performing in the US due to ongoing legal issues with World Wrestling Entertainment, The Idol he is still free to fight outside the country. The 36-year-old was recently scheduled to appear in Mexican promotion Crash Lucha Libre, where he is the reigning Crash Heavyweight Champion. However, it was reported that Andrade left the venue while signing autographs. Idolo later explained to X that he had gone to eat Chinese food.
Days after the incident, the former NXT Champion posted what appeared to be a cryptic messagehinting that he has more to say about his current situation but can't yet. It is hoped that El Idolo will soon be able to share more details about his situation.
“Too much on my mind, but nothing to say!!!” Andrade wrote
