Anthony Joshua calls out Tyson Fury after sending Jake Paul to hospital with broken jaw | Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua wasted little time on Saturday morning in Miami turning the page from tradition to passion, challenging Tyson Fury minutes after stopping Jake Paul in a match that ended when the YouTuber-turned-boxer drove himself to the hospital with a suspected jaw injury.

Joshua stopped Paul in the sixth round of the heavyweight championship on Friday night at the Kaseya Center, knocking him down four times in a one-sided fight built as an international event sponsored by Netflix. After that, the former two-time champion had no doubts about what he was doing and what was to come.

“It wasn’t a very good performance,” Joshua said. “His goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. That was the lead request, and that’s what was on my mind. It took longer than I expected, but the right hand found a way.”

Joshua acknowledged Paul’s bravery after a fight in which the American was repeatedly knocked down but kept getting back up.

“Jake Paul, you did well tonight,” Joshua said. “I want to give him his weapons.” He took off from time to time. It was difficult for him, but he continued to find a way. It takes a real man to do that. Whoever laces up these gloves, we say we honor them. We have to give Jake credit for trying and trying.

But Yoswa did not doubt the officials who the war escalated.

“He came to fight a real fighter tonight who has been there for 15 months,” he said. “We left the ropes, and I can’t wait to get into 2026.”

The confrontation quickly escalated into a challenge aimed at Fury, who Joshua has long joined in the blockbuster heavyweight debate.

“If Tyson Fury he’s as tough as he thinks, and he wants to put his fingers on Twitter and put on the gloves and come to fight one of the best fighters who can match any challenge, get in the ring if you’re a bad boy, “Joshua said. Let’s see you in the ring and let’s talk fists.”

At this time, Paul was very happy even though he was punished and admitted that he was seriously injured.

Paul said: “I feel good. “I love the game. I did everything. He is so crazy. I did very well. Anthony is a very good fighter. I hit my ass, but that’s what this game is about.”

Paul revealed in his post-fight interview that he believed his jaw was broken, after spitting up blood during the interview.

“I think my jaw is broken, by the way,” he said. A nice little whipping from one of the best I’ve ever done. I love this shit and I’m going to come back and win.”

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s co-founder at Most Valuable Promotions, confirmed at the post-fight press conference that the injury was being evaluated but downplayed long-term concerns.

“We think he broke his jaw. He’s fine,” Bidarian said. “We met with Netflix after that. He took a shower, drove himself to the hospital. Jaw fractures are very common in sports, especially in boxing and MMA, and I think the recovery time from the doctors and surgeons we talked to earlier is four to six weeks.”

Despite his defeat, Paul made the night another step in a long journey.

He said: “You guys, I’ve already won in every way in life. “My family, my beautiful girlfriend (Dutch sprinter Jutta Leerdam) The sport has helped me a lot in my life.

However, for Joshua, the message was simple. The experiment was over, the authorities were restored and attention now turned to the unfinished business at the top of the boxing ring.
