Anthony Kim closes in on his best professional golf finish in 14 years after third round at Moutai Singapore Open


Anthony Kim edged closer to his best result in more than a decade after another consistent performance at the Moutai Singapore Open. The American is tied for 36th at 7 under after three rounds, just three shots outside the top 20 with a round to play.

It has been 5,109 days since Anthony Kim finished in the top 20 at a professional event, when he tied for third at the 2011 Singapore Open. On Sunday, the 40-year-old will have the chance to end that long wait and record his most exciting finish since returning to competitive golf earlier this year.

Playing at the Singapore Island Country Club, Anthony Kim opened with a 4-under 68 and followed it up with a 3-under 69 on Friday to easily make the cut. He posted a third-round par 72 to remain at 7 under heading into the final day.

The former PGA Tour star, who last played a full season in 2012, has shown steady progress since his return in 2024. He also impressed in his previous International Series start in 2012. Hong Kongfinishing at 5 under.

Jeunghun Wang leads the field at 15 under by one shot, while Anthony Kim will look to close strongly on Sunday and secure his best result since his long-awaited return to the sport.
