Blackburn Rovers will host Oxford United at Ewood Park on Saturday in round 20 of the EFL Championship 2025-26 campaign Both teams have struggled for most of this season and will be hoping for results to keep them away from the relegation zone.
Blackburn was 1-0 against the finalist Sheffield Wednesday on saturday before the game was suspended early in the second half due to a waterlogged pitch, the home side made it six wins from 18 league games this campaign. The Riversiders, who were involved in back-to-back 1-1 draws against Wrexham and Ipswich Town before the weekend away, have picked up points from six of their last eight games and will be keen to maintain such strong form on Tuesday.
Thanks for sending!
Oxford sit in 21st place, just one point above the relegation zone after losing 2-0 to Swansea City last weekend and will be desperate for points when they make the trip to Blackburn. The visitors escaped relegation last season by just four points but will need to make major improvements in the coming weeks to get results and stay up at the end of the season.
The Riversiders are heavy favorites to win thanks to their home advantage and much better quality, but they will need to bring their A-game if they are to take the three points.
The Yellows will be hoping to come away with a point on the road this week, but it will take something really special to manage it.
prediction: Blackburn Rovers 1-0 Oxford United
Tip 1 – Result: Blackburn Rovers to win
Tip 2 – Goals – Over/Under 2.5 – Under 2.5 Goals (Five of the last seven home games have scored under 2.5 goals)
Tip 3: Both teams score: No
