Paul is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in history. He has been at the top of the league as a point guard for over a decade, and his devoted fans will forever cherish his legacy.

In his two-decade career, CP3 has earned 12 All-Star nominations, four All-NBA First Team selections, five NBA Second Team selections and seven NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. However, he has yet to win his first championship.

Chris Paul returned to the Clippers in July in free agency. However, the LA team has not had a good start to the season. They have a 4-11 record and are the 13th ranked team in the Western Conference. CP3 plays a bench role for the Clippers this season. So far, he has played in 10 games, but has yet to make the starting lineup.

LeBron James pays tribute to 'Point God' Chris Paul after retirement announcement

Lakers superstar LeBron James paid tribute to Chris Paul's legendary career on Saturday after the Clippers star announced his decision to retire after the current NBA season. James shared “Slam” magazine's Instagram post with CP3's photo on his Instagram story.

He saluted the two-time Olympic gold medalist in his history title.

“God bless!!! It's been one hell of a ride,” she wrote.

Chris Paul and LeBron James are two of the oldest players in the league right now. They started their professional careers just two years apart. James was drafted in 2003, while Paul was drafted in 2005. However, they have been in the league much longer than the teammates they played with in their first seasons.

James and Paul are in their 40s right now, but when CP3 retires, it will leave the Lakers star as the oldest player in the league at 41. The title of second-oldest player in the league would go to Kyle Lowry, who will turn 40 on March 25, 2026.
