Coi Leray has dismissed claims that Cardi B outed her on the song, pretty and small from his album, Am I the drama?. He said he interacts with Cardi often and respects her as an artist.
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, released her second album, Am I the drama?on September 19. on the track Pretty and smallsaid the BIA. Among the many things he said about BIA, the rapper also told Coi Leray, rapping:
“They only hit you (BIA) when they can't pay Coi.”
Leray appeared in the latest episode of The Podcast Bootleg Kevpublished on Tuesday, October 28. In it, he was asked about the name drop on Pretty and smalland she answered:
“Me, I love Cardi. I think Cardi is amazing. I respect her all the time.”
The host said the lyrics didn't seem like a disservice to Coi Leray, and she agreed, saying:
“I don't think it was a breakup. I mean, I don't have anything to do with anything else, but as far as I'm concerned, you know, I don't think it was at all. I fuck with Cardi. Me and Cardi, we got real information. Like, we talk offline, we're real people before the industry.”
When asked if he sometimes interacts with Cardi, Leray added:
“I hit her all the time. I'll hit her and say, 'I love you.' Or sometimes, like when I'm moving to Jersey, I'm like, 'Yo, I need a realtor.' Do you have a realtor for me?”

After the song's release, some online reports claimed that Coi Leray was displeased with her name. Pretty and small. An Instagram account with the handle, @peridotloaded, falsely quoted her (via complex):
“I just hate my name being mentioned, I'm a lot older than Bia so I didn't get that comparison right. I should have compared her to someone else.”
Leray denied this report, commenting on the post:
“I never said anything. They literally made this shit up. Get a life!! Cardi's whole album is blasting.”
She also posted a screenshot of her message with Cardi B, supporting each other, on her Instagram story.
Cardi B opens up about whether she'll be dispensing BIA again
following Pretty and smallBIA Biancaon October 10. He refused to diss Cardi B. However, her album failed to chart on the Billboard 200.
During a recent X Space, Cardi said she wasn't planning on taking digs at BIA's album sales, saying (h/t billboard):
“I'm not going to wake up every day like, 'I'm going to pick this girl because I can.' I just discovered the BIA numbers yesterday. I'm not taking her for this shit. Then this is excessive.”
The two artists have been feuding since 2024, when some fans felt that Cardi appeared to be copying BIA's flow.
