Cowboys' Mike McCarthy 'Absolutely' Wants Return as HC Amid Saints Rumors | News, Achievements, Highlights, Statistics, and Rumors

While rumors are swirling about Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy potentially moving to New Orleans to take over the Saints program, McCarthy says he “really wants to stay in Dallas.

“I'm very confident as a head coach,” McCarthy said, according to The Athletic's Jon Machota. “… I'm definitely in a position with Jerry to move the program forward. There's no question about the sentiment.”

Machota added that McCarthy believes he and Dallas Owner Jerry Jones will meet “soon” to discuss the matter as Jones is uncertain about the future.

“I don't know that I'm thinking about changing (coaching),” Jones said Turn around.

The possibility of bringing back McCarthy and another offensive lineman is something Jones wouldn't rule out, adding that “anything is possible,” according to Machota.
