Craig Carton mocks Lil Wayne over Jordan Love-led Packers' struggles after 10-7 loss to Eagles

Craig Carton pointed to Lil Wayne's faith in Jordan Love packersSuper Bowl chances after another offensive disappointment. After the 10-7 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles On Monday, the radio host dismissed any talk of a postseason run.

Carton discussed Green Bay's situation on his podcast Tuesday. The episode included a direct message to Lil Wayne, a longtime Packers superfan.

“I apologize to my man, Lil Wayne, who I know is a Packer fan, he still thinks they can win a Super Bowl this year,” Carton said via “The Craig Carton Show.” “It's not happening. It's not happening, man. And look, just think about the Packers. Three losses. The Green Bay Packers lost to the Cleveland Browns 13 to 10. Okay.

“The Green Bay Packers lost to the Carolina Panthers 16-13. And then last night after the indignity of losing at home to the Carolina Panthers and you've got the Eagles out of the top five. In your building. And you want to stay at the top of the division. And what do they do? They score seven points and lose 10-7, so their defense isn't the problem.”

Sorry @LilTunechi – THE PACKERS ARE NOT WINNING A SUPER BOWL THIS YEAR! “When is Jordan Love going to throw the ball down the field? You can't lose to the Browns and Panthers and we're only going to put 7 on the board…they're not a playoff team right now” – @craigcartonlive #NFL #Packers

Green Bay (5-3) is third in the NFC North and a long way from the playoffs. Carton maintained that the team still has enough talent to bounce back, but stressed that their level of play does not reflect that.

Craig Carton underscored that on Tuesday something fundamental is not working with the Packers offense despite Matt LaFleur's reputation as an offensive strategist.

“There's something wrong,” Carton said via “The Craig Carton Show.” “There's something wrong with the Green Bay Packers offense and Matt Lefleur hasn't changed. He's a great coordinator and an offensive mind, and I'm starting to look at Jordan Love in a very different way.

“Now you have to, and I don't, I know they've got young wide receivers. I know they've got a little bit of an injury bug, too, but Josh Jacobs is legit. And I'm looking around, when Jordan Love is going to throw the ball down the field.”

Statistically, Jordan Love has struggled with consistency. He completed 20 of 36 passes for 176 yards with no touchdowns against Philadelphia. Two fumbles, including a costly one late in the first half, further stalled Green Bay's drives. He also highlighted how timing and execution remain out of sync.

Carton added that the Packers have been saved from the bottom of the division only because of the vikings' fight with JJ McCarthy.

He called the Week 11 game against the Giants an “okay game.” Carton said it's the team's chance to show if Lil Wayne's faith in Green Bay has any hope.
