Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn has taken responsibility for the injury to quarterback Jayden Daniels against the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels left Sunday's loss to the Seahawks with a dislocated left elbow with 7:39 left on the clock.
Speaking Monday, Quinn blamed himself for leaving the quarterback in the game too long. He said:
“I get it. I've been thinking about it non-stop too and man, I lost it. This is 100% on me.”

Daniels was sacked by Seahawks linebacker Drake Thomas at the Seattle 4-yard line while moving to his right. His left elbow twisted backwards on entry as he stood in pain. His left elbow was placed in an air gap as he walked into the walker hall, ignoring a cart.

Veteran Marcus Mariota, 32, entered the game to replace Jayden Daniels. He is also expected to start next Sunday when Washington takes on the Detroit Lions at Northwestern Stadium.
Daniels isn't the only Commanders player to leave Sunday's game with an injury. Cornerback Marson Lattimore also left the game after tearing his ACL. Likewise, wide receiver Luke McCaffrey suffered a broken collarbone on the first snap.
The Commanders' campaign has been marred by injuries this season, with Jayden Daniels just the latest in a long list of injuries. Among their starters who have been placed on injured reserve is the running back Austin Thank you and defensive ends Deatrich Wise Jr. i Dorance Armstrong.
Others are safety Will Harris and wide receiver Noah Brown. Meanwhile, wide receiver Terry McLaurin has now missed five games with a quad injury.
Jayden Daniels' performance before his injury last Sunday is symptomatic of the Commanders' offseason. In six games for Washington this season, the second-year quarterback has passed for 1,184 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for an additional 262 yards and two touchdowns on 54 carries.
Before leaving the game Sunday, he had completed 16 of 22 passes for 153 yards and an interception. It is still unclear how serious Daniels' injury is and how long he will be out. If he doesn't need surgery, then the quarterback could return to action in mid-December.
However, if he needs surgery, he will likely be sidelined for the rest of the campaign. The Commanders are behind the Cowboys and Eagles in the NFC East standings, and their next game against the Lions is very crucial.
