Dana White teases fighter for UFC White House event President Trump won’t ‘stop talking about’

Dana White may have confirmed a name for next year’s UFC White House big card. The card is part of the America 250 celebrations and will be held on the birthday of US President Donald Trump.

While White hasn’t confirmed any fights on the card, he did hint at a name that could be coming to the event.

The UFC president declared earlier this year that the discussions because the event will start in Februarybut Derrick Lewis seems to be someone who could enter.

White was speaking to reporters after UFC 323 and suggested that ‘The Black Beast’ was Trump’s favorite fighter. The UFC president began by linking the heavyweight star to the White House, and he seemed sure he would get in:

“Is the White House ready for Derrick Lewis? President Trump loves Derrick Lewis and he hasn’t told me to do anything … but he won’t stop talking about Derrick Lewis, so it’s going to be a big fight for Derrick.”

Lewis holds the record for the most knockouts in UFC history and is a popular fighter. His next fight is at UFC 324 in January, which should give him plenty of time to prepare for the June White House card if he’s on it.

When Derrick Lewis called Donald Trump after a UFC win

Derrick Lewis once called US President Donald Trump after winning a UFC fight in incredible fashion.

This took place at UFC Nashville, where Lewis knocked out Tallison Teixeira in the first round. “The Black Beast” called out Trump while speaking with Bruce Buffer.

Lewis was then asked about the discussion with Trump. During the post-fight press conference ‘The Black Beast’ gave some view of what the couple was talking about:

”I’ve been telling Dana (White) for a couple of weeks. I need to talk to (Trump) about something… No man. No, it’s classified. It’s almost something about terrorists and stuff like that… I had to tell the president, ‘Hey, make sure they don’t have my name on that list.”’
