Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight

Drew McIntyre suffered another setback in Saturday night's main event, failing to win the WWE Undisputed Championship against Cody Rhodes. After falling short at Wrestlepalooza, the odds were in favor of The Scottish Warrior this time around.

The stipulation of the match stated that if Rhodes lost by disqualification or disqualification, he would lose the title. Many felt this was the perfect opportunity for the creative team to book a title change, as it would have allowed Drew McIntyre to become champion without hurting QB1's momentum.

However, this did not turn out to be the case, since Rhodes once again walked away with the Undisputed WWE Championship. Fans were left disappointed to see Drew McIntyre end up back on the losing side, questioning the booking of the creative team led by Triple H.

Another fan favorite superstar who always seems to get the short end of the stick is LA Knight. The Megastar has failed to score any significant wins this year. Many wanted him to face it CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight title, but Jey Uso was given that opportunity, leaving Knight off the card.

Both McIntyre and Knight have star written all over them. Both have immense charisma and presence, can cut great promos and put on exciting matches in the ring. Its lack of success can only be attributed to the timing and treatment of the creative team led by Triple H.

The question is, who has suffered more from Triple H's booking? We try to answer this question by analyzing their careers.

LA Knight has never been a WWE World Champion

LA Knight has been on a quest to win his first world title in WWE. However, despite numerous opportunities in recent years, The Megastar has failed to win the big one. Even with these setbacks, fans continue to cheer him on.

While still popular, Knight has been locked in upper midcard purgatory for so long that he has very little credibility left to pose any world title threat. Fans were hoping that the former United States Champion would finally establish himself as a main event player following his move to RAW in July of this year.

Many thought that perhaps a change of scenery and a new set of opponents would revitalize The Megastar's career. However, this has not been the case so far. Since moving to the red brand, Knight has only managed one singles win on television, and that too against Kofi Kingston.

Knight has been competing in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match for the past three years, and while he's always been the favorite heading into the bout, The Megastar has come up short each time. He's been involved in a rivalry against some of the biggest names, including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk, and has proven that he can swim with the sharks on more than one occasion.

However, despite this, Triple H still hasn't shown enough confidence in LA Knightas he keeps losing every big game he's in and missing opportunities that could have taken him to the next level.

Drew McIntyre's booking has been frustrating

Similar to Knight, McIntyre is also someone who has proven his worth as a top star, but hasn't been rewarded for it. However, unlike The Megastar, the Scot has previously held the WWE Championship twice.

After winning the 2020 Men's Royal Rumble Match, Drew McIntyre dethroned Brock Lesnar as the WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 36. However, his pinnacle moment came at an unfortunate time as there were no fans due to the pandemic.

McIntyre led the company through one of its most difficult times, but his booking in recent years has failed to justify his past contributions. Since losing the WWE title to The Miz in 2021, The Scottish Warrior has been on a never-ending world championship chase.

The Scot came close to regaining the title several times, but failed to do so. He eventually beat the odds and won the World Heavyweight Championship Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40, but his reign ended in less than six minutes, when Damian Priest cashed in his MITB contract.

Since 2021, Drew McIntyre has unsuccessfully challenged for the World Title against Bobby Lashley, Big E, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest and now Cody Rhodes. While adversity builds character, and Triple H is known for his “slow burn reserve”, Drew McIntyre is at risk of completely losing any credibility he had previously built due to repeated setbacks.

To conclude this article, when it comes to who has suffered more from Triple H's booking between LA Knight and Drew McIntyre, the Scot takes the lead. While both have proven to be reliable competitors who can make anything work, McIntyre has also shown that he can carry the company on his back, something Knight hasn't had the chance to do.

With that in mind, the way Drew McIntyre has been booked under Triple H's creative regime, he has suffered more than LA Knight.
